Syria

Syrian troops has launched an offensive on several rebel-held parts Homs city on Saturday, an NGO said, pounding the districts with air raids and mortar fire.
"War planes carried out two consecutive raids against areas under siege in Homs city, as well as carrying out heavy shelling against the same districts," the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said, according to AFP news agency.
"The shelling is focused on the neighbourhoods of Khaldiyeh, Bab Hud, Hamidiyeh and Bustan al-Diwan in an unprecedented manner."
The group said regime forces were using mortar shells, rockets, tank shells and heavy artillery in the assault.
Videos uploaded on the Internet showed heavy explosions and clouds of white smoke that were, according to activists, as a result of the strikes that took place on Saturday.

Proud Courageous Revolutionaries

A Message from the courageous Syrian revolutionary to the coward world!

Snowy Snowden

An Interesting article from Asian Time

The main problem for Edward Snowden is that he ran away. That's not Edward Snowden's problem; it's America's problem. The idea that Edward Snowden decided to flee overseas in order to deliver his revelations of massive US government surveillance is awkward for the United States politically, and difficult for a lot of Americans on the emotional level. ...
The most interesting expression of the "impulsive dingbat" meme is the one that accuses Snowden of almost criminal naivete in carrying his four laptops of US government secrets into the lair of America's enemies (of course, we are not at war with China or Russia, but that is a complication that the press has largely chosen not to address). ...
The successful 1990s battle against US attempts to curb the export and extensive use of encryption technology is one of the few instances in which, depending on your point of view, the public was able to fight the surveillance state to a draw-or the bad guys won. Today, 256-bit encryption is good enough for US government Top Secret classification data. It's also probably good enough for Snowden's laptop. ...
Long story short, if Snowden has encrypted his laptops, even if the Russian and Chinese security services were able to copy the hard drives (access "all the digital information") and get to work on them (and there is no evidence as yet that this has occurred), it is unlikely that they would be able to decrypt them (retrieve "all the documents") unless they have sustained access to, and active cooperation from, Snowden.
If the United States is really concerned about this happening, that might be a good reason to make some deal with Snowden to bring him home, not to let him continue to hang around Sheremetyevo Airport in Moscow under the interested eyes of Russia's FSB. ...
 Per the Daily Beast:
This information provides an interesting perspective on Snowden's travails in Hong Kong. Apparently, he left Hong Kong because it appeared he would be detained for a prolonged period of time while his extradition and/or asylum case wound its way through the courts, and he could not be assured of access to his laptops during this period. ...
The former NSA systems administrator has already given encoded files containing an archive of the secrets he lifted from his old employer to several people. If anything happens to Snowden, the files will be unlocked... [Glenn] Greenwald [the journalist with Britain's Guardian newspaper who broke the news of Snowden's flight with secret information] added that the people in possession of these files "cannot access them yet because they are highly encrypted and they do not have the passwords." But, Greenwald said, "if anything happens at all to Edward Snowden, he told me he has arranged for them to get access to the full archives." ...
Considering the steady drip of damaging revelations that Snowden and the Guardian seem prepared to provide (today, NSA collection of the e-mail metadata of US persons under Bush and Obama was added to the sizable list of questionable surveillance activities), for the next few weeks the Obama administration's best hope - and evolving strategy - is to get the American people, against their most visceral instincts, to stop caring about Edward Snowden.   Read more
It says America' problems is they made a whistle-blower  Snowden as a traitor

Syria Should not be ... the Rwanda of the 21st Century

AMMAN, JORDANGen. Salim Idris, the Syrian rebel commander of the U.S.-backed Supreme Military Council, sent an urgent warning to the United Nations Security Council this week alleging "systematic ethno-sectarian cleansing" by the Assad regime. In a letter obtained by CBS News, Idris accused the regime and Iranian-backed Hezbollah fighters of targeting Sunni minorities in western Syria, specifically the town of Tal Kalakh, northwest of Qusayr. He said regime forces are using barbed wire fences, barricades and landmine fields to seal off areas, and that thousands living inside could be massacred.
"Syria should not be allowed to become the Rwanda of the 21st century," Idris wrote. ... read more

War IS Expensive

Reuters) - Saudi Arabia regards the involvement ofIran and Hezbollah in Syria's civil war as dangerous and believes the rebels must be offered military aid to defend themselves, the kingdom's foreign minister said on Tuesday.…
In Jeddah, Kerry is holding discussions with Prince Saud and Saudi Arabian intelligence chief Prince Bandar bin Sultan, who coordinates the kingdom's efforts to topple Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
The discussions include Washington's plans for providing direct military support to General Salim Idriss of the Supreme Military Council, the military wing of Syria's main civilian opposition group.
Prince Saud said the world's top oil exporter "cannot be silent" at the intervention of Iran and Hezbollah in the Syrian conflict and renewed calls to arm the opposition and bar weapons sales to President Bashar al-Assad.
"The most dangerous development is the foreign participation, represented by Hezbollah and other militias supported by the forces of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard," said.
"There is no logic that allows Russia to publicly arm the Syrian regime and the foreign forces that support it," he added.

US Convenient Amnesia

The Awakening Sunni Giant

Saudi Arabia is dead-serious about ending the Assad regime

Last Friday, King Abdullah cut short his summer vacation in Morocco and flew back to Riyadh not only to meet with his national security advisors but to coordinate a new strategy for winning the war in Syria, one that encompasses a unified regional bloc of Sunni-majority powers now ranged against Iran, Hezbollah, and the Assad regime. The Wahhabi kingdom has exhausted its patience with miscarried attempts to resolve the Syria crisis through diplomacy and it will not wait to see the coming battle in Aleppo play out before assuming control of the Syrian rebellion. State-backed regional efforts to bolster moderate Free Syrian Army elements will thus be joined with the fetid call to jihad emanating from clerical quarters in Cairo, Doha, Mecca, and beyond. The mullahs have only themselves to blame. “Nasrallah fucked up,” one well-connected Syrian source told me recently. “He awakened the Sunni giant. The Saudis took Hezbollah’s invasion of Qusayr personally.”

Although long in coming, and evidenced in the recent contretempsbetween Hamas and Hezbollah in Lebanon and Syria, this grand realignment has been unmistakably solidified in the last week. A day after the Saudi king returned to Riyadh, Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi severed all diplomatic ties with Damascus and called for a no-fly zone in Syria, leaving no mystery as to reason behind this decision. “Hezbollah must leave Syria – these are serious words,” the Islamist president said. “There is no space or place for Hezbollah in Syria.”
...
Having thus determined that the Syria crisis was not in the U.S. “national interest,” the administration conveniently forgot about the national interests of its allies, all of whom lament the geopolitical vacuum left by a vanishing American presence and greatly fear the elements now rushing in to fill it. So instead, Washington palavers with Moscow about “Geneva II”, a conference set to resemble the last half hour of Rocky IV, as the war proceeds uninterrupted on the ground. Witness the buildup of Syrian Army soldiers and militants from Hezbollah and the Iranian-sponsored Popular Committees and the National Defense Forces in the Aleppo towns of Nubul and Zahra’a. Between 3,000 and 4,000 Hezbollah fighters, abetted by IRGC agents, are amassed in the province ready to try a repeat of their last victory in Qusayr.

Congratulations are in order. The United States has just earned a court-side seat to exactly the kind of transnational Sunni-Shiite confrontation it wished to avoid.  Read more

Arming FSA Is The Only Way To Achieve Peace

US secretary of state John Kerry calls for support to end Syria 'imbalance'

United States secretary of state John Kerry says supporters of Syria's rebels will step up military and other aid in a bid to end an "imbalance" in president Bashar al-Assad's favour..

He says that this attitude, coupled with evidence of chemical weapons use, means that supporters of the rebels have no choice but to provide greater assistance in order to create a military balance that would help peace efforts.
"To provide greater assistance of one kind or another, each nation making its own decision as to what it is comfortable doing," he said....Qatari prime minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassem al-Thani echoed Mr Kerry's remarks, calling for arms deliveries to the rebels to create a military balance that could help forge peace.
A peaceful end "cannot be reached unless a balance on the ground is achieved, in order to force the regime to sit down to talks," he told the ministers.
"Getting arms and using them could be the only way to achieve peace."...Read more

BE REAL FRIENDS OK!

NOT JSUT  'FRIENDS'BUT "REAL FRIENDS" to debate rebel support in Qatar

You know when tyrants are threatened by their existence always using same theme "without me the country can not survival" so this change into " with the tyrants the country will be ruined"...  so US et al  gives Russia  deep affectionate hugs and kiss and give Russia assurance that " Syria will be right without Assad, you should let this gory criminal go!, loving this gory criminal is self inflection agony of self fulfilling prophecy of  ever lasting suffering!

Heroes IN Battle

Syrian rebels have recently received new weapons that could "change the course of the battle" against the Syrian regime, a spokesman for the Free Syrian Army told Al Arabiya TV on Monday.
“We have received the first shipment of weapons two days ago, following pledges by several countries, especially the United States,” FSA political and media coordinator Louay Muqdad said.
...
It is a matter of days before we receive other weapons, as we were promised…and the military support will continue to flow as long as the weapons are used in a disciplined way,” Muqdad said.
...
FSA chief Idris has repeatedly appealed for weapons from the international community. In an earlier interview with Al Arabiya, he said that it would take the rebels six months to overthrow the Syrian regime if the U.S. agreed to arm them.

“If we only get some armed support, we will continue to battle for a long time. But if we receive enough training and arms and are well-organized, I think we need about six months to topple the regime,” Idriss said.
Yes, FSA Revolutionary must united and disciplined in every sense, propaganda too, diplomacy et al with that arms will continuously come that is the best option for the West and US. Make sure show and tell how brave,  organised and effective they are, they have incentive to fight, all the Syrian people life in their hands, million of people refugee camps and internationally million of them, also the million of the children they are losing their generations of education and fate of Syria. All the US et al  politicians are very sensitive their people's opinion polls, so make sure  FSA don;t do anything obliviously that are the politician are fear of... But of course war is war all but wining, whatever necessary to toppling this criminal assay is the way free Syria and free from all these Syrian their suffering!

Russia Selfless Love

There no such thing peace talk in Russian perspective, they wan to do their own talk disguise as a peace talk. They worry that US et al arming the FSA revolutionary and F-16 line up Jordanian boarder and the foreign ministry meeting “Friend of Syria”  take place at Qatar today. Russian try to seize the momentum of criminal Assad bit wining on the ground for their bargaining tool for getting their upper hand, they know if this conflict drags on  as they can see there is only way ending this war. Russia is very obnoxiously noisy, what they are saying is that 1)  everything what West US does to the FSA  et al that are illegal, irrational illogical or wrong, risk of the Syria, or arming terrorist and jeopardising  the peace talk 2) Russia is arming and supporting war criminal Assad’s committing  atrocity is legal, doing right thing to the Syrian people and Syria, they can decide Syrian future by themselves it is empowering Syrian people.  Sums up is what Russia is saying is that US et al wrong they are right so world should listen Russia they don’t have any other agenda but truly care about Syria. By the way Russia and China how much they spend aid for Syrian refugees

Russian Hypocrisy

Welcome to Russian doublespeak.
...
Some of you may have trouble understanding Moscow’s logic, or will at least find it remarkably cynical. But anyone who used to watch the prime time Soviet show “International Panorama” will be at an advantage in interpreting what Russia really means. After all, this is the same program that trained viewers to be able to distinguish between the “ignition of new offensive arms race” (U.S. development of strategic weapons) and “maintenance of the power balance and international security” (Soviet development of strategic weapons). Of course, regular viewers would also never confuse the “blood-thirsty hirelings of Capital” (anti-communist guerrillas) with the “valiant freedom fighters” (pro-communist guerrillas). And audiences would also be fully aware that Western intervention anywhere in the world is a “shameless attack on sovereignty by ruthless NATO occupants,” while Soviet invasion is a selfless fulfillment of “an international duty to support brotherly peoples.”
...
It is now becoming clear, however, that when Russia talks of a “peaceful solution” in Syria, it refers to only one acceptable outcome – the political survival, at any cost, of its authoritarian ally and the maintenance of the security apparatus that has ruled Syria for over 40 years. This is the only stability Russia believes in, and, unsurprisingly, this is the same stability it is trying to enforce within its own borders. In the past year, Russian authorities have imposed a severe crackdown on civil society, aimed at stifling political protest and ensuring Vladimir Putin’s unchallenged rule.
...
The only way to get Russia to collaborate with the international community in a constructive way is to make it clear that this obstructive behavior has a real cost. As a first step, the U.S. and Europe should refuse to enter into any new deals with Russia’s state-owned arms trading company Rosoboronexport – including weapons purchase, the company’s planned appearances in arms trade shows, and its advertising in industry publications. They should encourage other Rosoboronexport clients around the world to do the same. Needless to say, deals with other countries supplying arms to the Syrian government should stop as well. ... Beard Measures Men's Loyalty

Why Kerry Wants to Strike Syria

Yesterday, shortly after I posted a column on Secretary of State John Kerry’s push to have the White House approve U.S. strikes on Syrian airfields -- and how Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Martin Dempsey pushed back strongly against the idea -- I heard from a number of people who support Kerry’s stance and think that the Pentagon is being unnecessarily timid.
...6. The rebels aren’t the lunatics the Pentagon believes them to be. The State Department has been working for some time with the more moderate leaders among the fractured and disputatious rebel alliance. It believes not only that it can do business with many of these leaders, but also that by doing business with them it will strengthen them. Several months ago, when I ducked across the Jordan-Syria border and met with some of the rebels, I took note of their long beards, a sign of religious intensity. The rebels were quick to tell me that they only grew beards because the more radical Islamists among them had the best weapons, and would only supply these weapons to like-minded rebels. In other words, the beards were simply a marketing tool, not an expression of sincere radicalism. If the more moderate among the rebels suddenly began receiving heavier weapons from the Americans, they would be empowered, and the Islamists marginalized.  Read more
It has been a norm for large part of the Rebel group, grow long beard for their expression of loyalty to the radicals for exchange weapons, so simple logic is grow beard you can get the best weapon from radicals, and shaving beard you can get the US et al weapons  THEN the largest part of the Rebel will shave their beard tomorrow for sure!

UPDATE: You would all agree, the FSA Revolutionary is all involved fighting  criminal Assad for toppling him are  free will, volunteered, no one forced to do, regardless what other enemies  Russia et al says, they are the heroes of Syria, yes they are not angles,  they did few things  that are out of desperation of lack of resources, and their  personal  tragic events... can not compare to what criminal assad's deliberate organised crimes, very small fraction of,  they are the heroes of new Syria for sure!
I underlined.

After G8 Summit

David Cameron on Syria: We reserve right to act without vote

David Cameron has told MPs that the government will reserve the right to arm rebels in Syria without holding a vote in the House of Commons.
He said it was essential to keep the "ability to take action very swiftly"
...
The prime minister also said Russia now agreed it was "necessary" and "right" that President Assad must be ousted before peace could be achieved....Read more
Good, in my view  Putin  always know criminal Assad no future, but they hold its unreasonable position for  their bargaining, prior to  G8 criminal Assad  allied with Iran and Hezbollah was bit wining on the ground, clearly always criminal Assad prepared for these big events and very calculated so that gives reasons  Russia defend for him, which suited Russia without any cost, so many states leaders were lined up try to negotiated with Kremlin, but Kremlin thought they still have time..., they enjoyed the glory of maintained obnoxiousness criminal helper, amazing things were their attitude of they are the only one should arms criminal Assad but no Western US should arm the FSA et al... well anyway, they may now if not too careful they will have no postilion at all not only Syria but all Sunni Muslim Arabic countries and they will may be face on international isolation of supporting criminal Assad, also they see their opportunity of having position post Assad- reserving military and security force. One criminal sacrifice for!  Clearly G8 Summit did a great job, especially UK and US announcing of arming the FSA revolutionary.  Sum up this criminal gory Assad thought   sectarian fight make him win but the very thing get him into the drain faster than anyone can imagine. Especially 1,3 billion Sunni Muslim, he didn't think about the numbers. Also F-16 fighters jets lined  up at Jordanian boarder did is a great tactical movement I think... while we are bombing... why I should I tell other people what I am doing ... Mr Cameron should punch Mr Putin's face with  his G8 KO ...um...that could have been a spectacle.

No Money NO Honey!

While Claiming Battle Gains Against Rebels, Criminal Assad Is Facing Currency Crisis

...“Syria’s government doesn’t have cash,” said Andrew J. Tabler, a Syria scholar at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy. “They might be good at shooting people, but they’re not so good at the economic stuff.”...
Well, it is very extremely good news for the Revolutionary, no more money no more honey! Iran new elect president spend money for Assad while he is facing 15-20% unemployment and against West  and US? Russia is all about balances on the ground, when Assad lose on the ground Russia lose its interest in him, as Russia is not spend on penny for criminal and but enjoy its position of power. When money run out assad can not pay salary for the military and his seasonal servants, whose loyalty is else where, also majority of military personal Sunni Muslim which is not deployed at battle field because Assad fear of their  defection -  now this criminal inevitability will be entrapped his own sectarian trap. So mass increase arming FSA revolutionary, let them fight, then see what happens!

Organised Sectarian

(Reuters) - Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's forces have begun ethnically cleansing Sunni Muslims and deliberately pushing refugees across the border into Lebanon, the Lebanese caretaker minister for social affairs said on Tuesday.

Assad is battling a Sunni-led revolt in Syria, which he and his father before him have ruled for four decades. He belongs to the minority Alawite sect, an offshoot of Shi'ite Islam.
...
"What began was a wave of people fleeing from violence to Lebanon, but what is happening now is a completely different matter. What is happening now is organised displacement of the Syrian people - organised based on sectarian and political motives," said Abu Faour, a frequent critic of Assad. ...Read more

This is immense tragic all cost to avoid, this could be  Syria divided effectively , it is large effort to heal Syrian wounds, Syrian educate themselves  the dangers of this sectarian,  try to aware  what is unfolding, world community should prevent this tragic consequence.  Russia will be sorry! Putin, Obama face off over Syria at tense G8 summit meeting

Closeness make heart grow cold -Nothing to talk about it...

(Reuters) - U.S. President Barack Obama sparred with Russia's Vladimir Putin over how to end the war in Syria on Monday during an icy encounter at a G8 summit where divisions over the conflict eclipsed the rest of the agenda.

So far 100,000 people were killed, more than 200,000 are  imprisoned or disappeared,  million of people internally externally displacement, horrendous immense tragic of sectarian is unfolding, threat  the regional and the world security… and also most saddest thing is the lost generation  these million of children have deprived of their nourishment of education, and whole Syrian is ransacked by this gory inhuman Russian pet Assad and his gory regime. Now, yes Russia lawfully supplied arms to its gory pet Assad et al let him doing all these things, is this lawful?  Does the  international law doesn't  address the “ACCOMPLICE”  or accessory  of the crimes, as gory criminal Assad every his breath he committed crime.

UPdate: If US et al try to purse to Putin's consensus re: Syria he will do more distant, as his personalty is all power, agree with west mean for Putin his personal power lessen, I don't think ever he will agree with what US et al proposed, even if that is reasonable terms to the Russia, Putin try to his own terms.    Russia maintained its exclusivity by complete  unconscionable attitude  this immense humanitarian tragedy by using its unsc veto and selling arms and protecting its gory pet Assad.

Update: UK PM body language...  around news really funny, he is almost punching Putin face...

Mohamed Morsi, the Egyptian president, has called on the international community to impose a no-fly zone over Syria.
World wide, all the leaders should  make  this kind of statement

UNITE FRONT FSA

Head of general staff express a deep gratitude to Colonel Abdul Jabbar,  leaders John revolutionary military leader in Aleppo and brother Abdelkader, Heroe Free Syrian Army Brigade Commander,  their consolidation of unite front, complete their task to  lead and support the revolutionaries.
Colonel Abdul Jabbar  and  John brother Abdelkader  their united front is a good example of MMI leaders who share their fighters through thick and thin and stand on the fronts of Mujahedeen as heroes.
We in general staff salute to the FSA leaders, their courageous,  proud struggle,  their quality of nobility and courage, accomplish their mission through  practical application, we also know that they are willing  sacrifice thier life  for the God and the Country.
Major General Dr. Salim Omar Idris

Note of warning: I translated the above whiteout warranty of accuracy, accuracy is important so you should translated yourself  for your own accurate information please see here!

But I sure you one thing clearly says  that  the Revolutionary  FSA united, they determine  to unite as they know that that is the one of  most important ingredient of wining...War is war! I must say many of Revolutionary FSA leaders are very charismatic,  Colonel Jabbar is one of them...

Update: criminal gory Assad very fear of united front of the Revolutionary et al, so one of his tactic was try  very hard to divide and conquer... etc. his gangs are penetrated into the Rebel etc... so the Rebels make sure not let this happen again... Unite to the Victory!

The Revolutionary of Syria

The revolution taught us that if we want to accelerate our victory we must not divided by Bridges and Battalions...but we all must united under the name of Revolutionary of Syria.  A great sound!

We Are Wining Again!

Sources: Syrian Days of Rage

World Community Must Meet the Cost

Only if the balance of the war shifts decisively to the side of the rebels will an acceptable political settlement be possible. That, in turn, will almost certainly require a more robust U.S. intervention. A starting point would be for Mr. Obama to sign off on a Pentagon plan, reported by the Wall Street Journal, to create a no-fly zone in southern Syria, which would create a space for rebels to organize and train, for weapons to be delivered and for civilians to harbor. It’s possible this could be done with the use of Patriot missiles and planes that remained in Jordanian airspace.

White House aide Ben Rhodes argued to reporters Thursday that a no-fly zone in Syria would be costly, would become an open-ended commitment and would not change the situation on the ground. On the last point, U.S. intelligence reports seen by the New York Times suggest otherwise: They say there were 500 air-to-ground attacks against Syrian rebels and civilians in May alone.

No-Fly-Zone the rebel hold area cost effective option and must,  the world community contributes especially EU and Gulf states,  also the world community should financing the rebel hold areas so that they can run their own civil serves and  internally displace people go there instead fleeting other countries. If this drags the million of Syrian people suffering, the region, and the world would bear immensely cost of not only humanitarian but also economically.

Fast, Shocking, Quickly and Ruthlessly

The main reason arming Free Syrian Army Revolutionary (FSA) is that they able to  hold the balance bargaining power on the ground so that both parties have incentive to  come to the table and try to make  political settlement if they have any. If un-balance of bargaining  power on the ground, the strong party has no incentive to talk, especially criminal Assad wants to keep his family in power even if he destroys whole Syria and the region. There is chemical weapon, he had been testing here and there but often enough as there has been well documented video evidences, it able to kill millions within minutes.  And formidable tragic sectarian killing unfold, was initiated by this very gory inhuman, he will do everything try to stay. If he thinks he can win this game by using these weapons and tactics what incentive he has come to the table?  What option the world has now? So we have ask question; If  let this criminal win helped by Iran, Hezbollah and Russia, then what will happen in Syria and the region?  Or arming FSA so that they hold balance power on the ground so that both party have incentive to talk, then what will happen?  So clear to your mind sake of the future Syria,  the region and the World! Also the world need the US leadership solving this problems!

Napoleon said there's nothing theoretical about war. You do what you have to do. You do it fast, and you surprise the enemy and shock him if you can. Move quickly and be ruthless about it.
