Israel
may be concerned about the
growing presence of al-Qaida elements in
Syria but that
threat pales in comparison with the menace posed by the Iran-Syrian-Hezbollah
axis before the Syrian civil war, Amos Gilad said in an interview that appeared
Monday.
Gilad, the head of the Defense
Ministry’s diplomatic security bureau, said in an interview on the Walla
website that al-Qaida activists who are flowing into Syria are saying publicly that they
are “waiting for the opportunity to take over the state.”
He also said al-Qaida was working
inside Syria
in a systematic manner, and through major attacks, to build up the
organization’s strength.
“But still, with all due respect
to that threat, it is not the same threat as one posed by Iran, Syria and Hezbollah together, which
is much more difficult,” he said.
While the crumbling of Syria harms the
Iran-Syrian-Hezbollah axis, and – at least in that regard – is a positive
development, it is not as if a new democracy is just waiting in the wings to
fill the vacuum once Syrian President Bashar Assad exits the scene.
“You can look now and see
al-Qaida in Syria, economic
lows, instability, the lack of one address, huge refugee problems,” he said,
referring to a Syria
after Assad. “This all presents new types of challenges that are not similar to
the military challenge [Syria
posed to Israel
before the civil war].”
“In reality this is a blow to Iran and Hezbollah together,” Gilad said of the
situation in Syria.
“They admit it and are doing
everything so Assad survives.”
In my view, the jihadists – al Nusra( such shame US made a huge
tactical mistake made them as “
terrorist”) – the supersaturate fighting group will not big problems, because currently large number of them are Syrian people, disguised join members because
of its resources, as West failed to
supplier them arms et al so what option they had, that is utter hypocrites west, manifesto
of fiasco! When FSA enough arms they will return back to wings of FSA! Foreigners jihadists are small minority, they will go back to their own countries when this criminal is overthrown( this is controllable post Assad, by the revolutionary leadership, Syria is also 80% literary it is different than Afghan). Why should FSA reject foreign jihadists their supersaturate prowess skills talent offer them
to fighting criminal Assad-Hezbollah- Iran?! They only offer their beneficence, fight alongside with them, they don’t mind their martyrdom, so world don’t kidding yourself drowned by
your worthless menaces without helping FSA! In my view al Nusra didn't harm anyone outside Syria! West didn' t help, while they are on the ground, fight for Syrian people, protecting them and give them food and managing their civil order, while West saying, sitting in their fat manic depressive chair and split their hair "O O, full of al Qaeda Syria... full of dangerous what we can do about? We can do anything about it we are such stupid coward world, bitterness wording useless in action vileness amoral...etc So nice to see now Yeah they finally waken
up Iran-Syrian-Hezbollah axis really
much dangerous than AlNursa-
Syria! So NO-FLY-ZONE and arming FSA minimize the risk!
