In response to the New York Times report on a US military task force in Jordan, a senior US military official tells Al Jazeera:
Well yes US feel something!? US Central Command"US Central Command is continually planning for contingencies. It's important that we plan options for all potential eventualities to provide options to the Secretary of Defense and the President. It's important that we build and maintain strong military to military relationships with our partners throughout the CENTCOM area of responsibility to help improve and maintain regional stability and security."
